I remember seeing someone had posted pics of their installation of a rudder sensor on their 29.5. I have been trying to access the Owner Mods and it keeps erroring out.

If any one has info on how they did theirs i would be interested.

Sorry, don;t mean to derail the discussion... can you tell me what link you're using to access the modifications that is leading to an error? It shouldn't do that, obviously...

Thanks Phil, if you can fix it would answer my question. I tried using the search, owners modifications. I get this error

Query failed: connection to localhost:3312 failed (errno=111, msg=Connection refused)

The sensor mounts under the cockpit deckplate, forward of the radial drive. Locate the sensor body on the centerline of the boat with the arm facing either port or starboard, doesn't much matter. Mount the push rod ball fitting to the outboard edge of the radial drive on the same side as the sensor arm is facing. You'll have to drill a couple of holes in the radial drive to mount it. Up to you whether you want to tap them and use screws or use bolts with locking nuts to mount. Snap the push rod into place. Stop to stop travel on the rudder is less than the maximum travel on the sensor arm. Works well.
