H29.5 Air Conditioner and Heat

I saw some pretty old posts on AC/Heat in a H29.5. Are there still some folks out there with AC on this boat? Mine is a 1995 and we are considering adding this year. If so I would love to hear how yours is installed and maybe see some pics. The consensus seems to be to put the unit under the Vberth with the Hot water heater. The locations of the return air and location of ducts would be helpful.

Sailm8, what make is yours and BTU? Admiral wants to know about noise and vibrations. I take it the large vent in pic 1 is the cold out and the large one under the table is the air return.

It is a cruisaire but I don't know the model. I think it is a 16000 BTU. The unit is sort of noisy but I can program it to run the fan continuously so that covers some of the noise when the compressor kicks in. Neither of us are light sleepers so it is not a problem. No problem with vibration. You are correct about the vent placement. There is a large vent up high and a small round vent in the V berth. My Admiral makes me sleep on the side with the vent when we use the V berth since it blows very cold air. We mostly sleep in the aft area .

Edit: Never have used the heat but do use the Humidistat feature all year round down here.

Don't know if factor installed or not... Works well, although a bit noisy... when I upgrade will look for a quieter unit..

The unit is a Cruisair and i think it is 16000 btu.
