I was wondering if any of you with a 28 might know where I can get a replacement bushing that sits on my rudder post.

Bill, our 1989 H28 did not have a bushing...

The rudder post was inside a pipe. Our surveyor checked it out and said that the play was acceptable, but keep an eye on it. He said in order to reduce the play cut a small piece of teflon sheet to fit around the base of the rudder post. This will shim up any unacceptable play. Most marine houses carry teflon sheeting. Or by bushing do you mean spacer/washer? You could probably use the teflon sheeting for the same purpose. Terry

hunter 28

I meant hunter 28. I took for granted that it was a hunter owners web site.

Thanks, I did mean the spacer on the rudder post. Really would like to replace it.

Bill, you are welcome. Let me know if that...

works for your boat. I never tried it, but the teflon sheet cut to fit should make a good spacer. Terry
