H28.5 mast wiring-steaming lite

Can anyone say what wiring I'd find if I pulled the mast steaming light? I suspect only a 2 wire to the light. I'd like to change to a combo steaming and fore deck down light - would need 3 wire and an extra switch on the panel.
Also- if its just a 2 wire, how difficult would it be to attach a 3 wire and "pull" it thru to the bottom of the mast....or is that not possible - either because of the mast internal "channels" and possibly a connector in the mast at the cabin top???? I don't plan to dismast to do this - so if anyone has familiary with this model late 85 28.5 I'd appreciate your comments .

There are only two wires and they runin a conduit inside the fprward port side of the mast. Look for a series of pop rivets on that side of the mast that hold the conduit in place inside the mast.
There is a wiring connector inside the base of the mast: i havent seen mine in twenty years but you could check with other 28.5 owners on:
