H27 Stern Railing

I have a damaged stern railing on my 83 H27 that I will need to be replacing soon complements of hurricane Frances. I do not see any visible attachment hardware to remove this railing. Looking for owners who have performed this replacement who may have tips to get the job done.

Stern Railing

I have removed and re-installed mine in the never ending search for water leaks. There is a threaded stud at the bottom of each vertical piece. It bolts through the toe rail. You have to crawl through the quarter bearth and under the starboard lazerete (sp)to get to the nuts holding it in place. Best to find someone small and young to do it.... ditto stern railing

79' H27 here and the stern railing is the same way.. Through bolted through the toerail, one piece stantions with nuts underneath. Even at my size of a wopping 5'10" and 130lbs, these were hard to get at at and so I solicitated my girlfriends daughter to hold the wrench underneath while I performed the duty topside and while I was at it, cured my water leak from aft. Chuck, while I was at it, I had also removed the stern toerail and reseated it, along with the stantions and that seemed to cure all my standing rain water & washing water leaks (so long as you don't point the hose into the vents).. P.S. An 8 to 10 year old kid in the cleared out starboard locker can actually just sit in there and bear with you.
