My Main Cabin overhead hatch has broken 'dogs' and can not be secured tight enough to prevent water leaking. While I have seen some great repair/replacement information on the forward trapazoidal v-berth hatch I could not find references to the similiar hatch in the main cabin. I wonder if there are other effective 'dogs' or closure devices that can be fitted. If not what are my replacement hatch options?

If it is just the dogs that are broken, West Marine has replacement parts for the old Bomar Hatches, though at a pretty steep price

I couldn't find a diret replacement for the trap. shaped hatch so I replaceed it with a square on. If you wan me to e mail you a diagram and step by step instructions Nelsonhow@netscape.net

Bad things happen in 2's! My main cabin hatch dog finally gave way.No leaks,so no worries at the moment. Thank you for the site and hatch number. I also need to replace large port in main cabin, I think Thrifty Mariner is the way to go. Question: you measure the inside dimensions of the port for sizing, yes? Good sailing to all s/v "LOTUS"
