Hi all, What is the typical lifespan of the gasket on the ballast tank valve? What material is recommended for replacing it and is there a recommended adhesive? Thank you! Tom

Several people have used rubber from a wet suit. Drop by a scuba shop. I'd use a very thin coating of 3M5200. That being said, most valves leak and I don't see how that makes any difference in how the boat sails - why bother?
