H260 Holding tank inlet

I need to replace the pump on my Jabsco head in a 2004 Hunter 260 (I know - lots of info on that but...). When I follow the large waste pipe from the bottom of the pump down through a hole in the rear closet I can't see where it goes. Also, I can't see were it enters the holding tank. At the holding tank, I only see the vent tube and the large tube for pump-out. My concern is that there does not appear to be a loop or at least an inlet into the tank that is higher than the elbow at the back of the pump. So if I take off the elbow and Joker valve - I can't see what would keep the liquid in the holding tank from coming out.
Any advice on this job would be most appreciated!

It has to enter the tank on the top of it, or AT the top of the aft end of it.

Peggie u beat me to the punch.. Glad still to see ya around. Plan on visiting the mountain home sometime. I am waiting on Jim Seaman and his better half to come.

I have replaced the entire pump unit. The hose goes up high on the backside into the holding tank and it can only drain back a little out of the hose since also the hose is routed lower as the flange of the pump. If you still can try to get some water or vinegar pump trough the hose before you take the pump off.
I replaced the entire pump assembly since the price was not much more than the service kit with all the parts and gaskets.

Thanks for the info. I finally found the inlet to the tank - right where you said but you can't see it from the door in front of the tank. I was able to see it on the Starboard side looking past the battery. I think I will try and get to the marina and pump the tank out and run some water through it before I pull off that bottom elbow. I could just see something flowing back out that pipe.
