My boat is still at the slip but will be coming out next week I think. Can anyone with a 260 on the trailer measure their boat and tell me, with the mast down how high does a garage door have to be to fit the boat in on its trailer ?
thanks, Bob

Might be able to get out there today, but I want to say it's 13' or so. It's higher than I thought, but it was about 4 years ago that I measured. I can tell you that it DOES NOT fit under my parking shelter which peaks at a little over 9'.

I measured it at 12' 6 inches. The boom clears a standard 14' door with plenty of room. You could bring it lower if you remove the spreaders and drop the mast so it rests on the back rail. That would make a big difference.

See the picture.

thanks !

I guess I should know that number when towing !
I think to get it into a storage building it might be possible to lift the front of the mast so the back would be lower, Bob

I had to take the mast off the rear rest to make it parallel with the ground in order to clear a barn door.

With my mast in it's normal resting travel position it measures 11" 8" from it's highest point to the ground. That number is printed real big on a piece of tape and stuck to the under side of the drivers sun visor. Not a number I want to have to think about twice at 60 mph.
