There is this pipe thing in the port lazerette of the H260 that I think is an emergency tiller. I've never tried it and not sure how to install it. How do you set it up and has anyone ever tried to steer with it?

George, The square end should slide into the tubular piece at the top of the rudder post. There is a pin to hold it into place. Look in the Resource section of this website for a copy of the manual. There should be a diagram of it there. I made sure it fit when I bought the boat, but have not tried sailing with it. Good luck, hope you never need it!
