Hi all, There was a recent thread (I think) about bottom painting a H26 or H260 on the trailer by jacking up one side at a time and lowering the bunks. I can't find it now. Anyway, my question to the people that have done this, is how do you gain access to paint the centerboard and trunk? Thank you, Tom

For safety, let a yard do it unless you know what you are doing. Safety is a big factor here.

Agree...

Hi Dave, Thank you for the reply. I agree about safety when it comes to jacking the boats up off their trailers, as well as working with the toxic dust and fumes that are part of prepping and applying bottom paint. I have always paid to have it done by qualified pros. However, there was a post a few weeks back from someone that has jacked the boat up a little off the trailer to get enough space between the hull and bunks to paint. I was curious what he did about getting access to the center board and trunk and was hoping to get that info to satisfy my curiousity (although you know what happened to the cat!). Fair winds, Tom
