Pat, Any differences in sailing performance with the new idasailor rudder system? Will old aluminum tiller work with new rudder system which has the strut?

What Keeps the rudder from coming up?
It looks very nice but what keeps the rudder from coming up while you are underway?

That u shaped channel
and the gas strut. If the strut is ont he inboard half of the U, it holds it up. On the outboard side, it holds it down! It looks pretty solid too - though I would like a full box for the tiller to slide into.
