My '95 H26 zippers are frozen and crumbling on my vinyl cusions and my wife soaked some cushions while "washing" them. They are not drying fully w/o removing the foam. I really don't want to sew in new zippers in all the cushions.
Tried one sewing store and they didn't have any zippers of the same size to cannibalize. Online there are $30 brass marine sliders that don't look like the right size. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to replace just the sliders?
Also, there is plastic wrap covering about 2/3 of the cushion area inside the covers. The backing that goes against he fiberglass is more or less a mesh. Does anyone know if the plastic is there for some sort of mold control, or is it there just to ease insertion of the foam inside the covers?
