I have the boat up in the air in a sling. Some fiberglass and jell coating was applied to seal the centerboard I was told there is some play in the centerboard. How much play is acceptable? I am considering painting it with some antifouling even though I pull it out of the water after a day trip. I could opt to leave it in the water maybe a week at a time for trips to local islands, Isla Cobia for one.

I'm going to be examining the boat today. This play was reported to me by a boat tender employee. Since this is only the 2nd time for me to have the boat in a sling since owing the boat for these past 11 or 12 yrs I am not sure if this is serious. What if it is serious? Is there a way to drop the centerboard?

There are posts on this forum on removing the center board; usually to replace the line to raise and lower it

I checked and it's only about a ¼" to either side. I believe this is normal. I am no longer concerned. Thanks for the feed back.

A stand bow and stern to add assurances. Getting the trailer out was a little struggle. Took lowering the trailer hitch wheel. Cain winches attached to the cradle. We didn't need to raise it the full length of the centerboard
