Having a little trouble with my flexible water tank. I removed it from the boat during a refit a couple years ago. I don't think there was anything like a gasket between the flanges other than the ridge in the flange that makes a waterstop when the assembly is put together. For some reason when I re-assembled everything I felt like there needed to be something there so I used plumbers putty (it leaked). I'm reluctant to use any caulking as I think the fittings are designed to rotate. Has anyone had any experience with these tanks/fittings and can offer any advice?
