H25 Mast Wiring

After lowering the mast recently on a 78' H25, installing a new light, then going to raise the mast I found out the wiring for the light was bad. I ripped out all the wiring and ran a new stuff. My question is that the deck plug needs to be replaced. I found and purchased a Perko plug, but now my question is how is the wiring run once in the boat?? It appears it is in the ceiling. Anyone ever redo this wiring? Is it possible to snake some new wiring or is there a better way to run the wires?

I have a wiring diagram of the H25. I could scan it and email it to you. I believe all wiring is behind the fiberglass liner of the inside. Would be hard to rerun once inside the boat. My 81 has all the wiring inside the mast step itself. No connector of any sort outside to cause problems.
