I want to replace the faucets on my H25.5 but can't figure it out. Can't see any fasteners, tried turning, pushing, pulling... and I'm stumped. The freakin' thing seems to be glued to the counter. Besides just ripping it out and damaging the counter top... anyone have a suggestion? If anyone did this before and can pass on the secret I'd really appreciate it. *cry in NY

Replaced the galley faucet

I replaced the galley faucet last year, but I don't remember exactly how I removed the old one. I can look at the one in the v-berth and get back to you tomorrow if that would help.

Depends on which type..

you have Bob. It it generally held in place with a large plastic nut. I have had several types on my 25.5.....but last year I went from a Jabsco to a Shurflo....and both are held on with a large plastic nut over the inlet fitting. The two faucets I am talking about are on the bottom of page 519 in the 2005 West Marine catalog. I have done extensive work on my 25.5 in the last three years. Dave

Got it!.....Thanks.

I finally got it removed. For the records, it has two snap clips in the rear. I just need to wiggle forward/backward and it finally came off. I attached a Jabco 1 GPM combo kit (faucet and pump)and it's nice. Also, I removed the cover on the water tank. If you haven't done that, DO IT. It was bad (dirty/slimmy 25 years of build up). My tank is now supper clean. I added a 4" inspection hole for easy clean/inspect. And at end of the season, I can put my manual bilge pump in and suck out all the water. No need for nasty anti-freeze.
