H25.5 cockpit drains and cabin top drainage.

I am a card carrying H25.5 fan. Love most things about my '84 model. But there are two things that drive me nuts about the design of this boat. First, the cockpit drains through two openings in the transom which are not at the lowest point of the cockpit. This means the cockpit will not completely drain in wet weather, and there is always some kind of small pool which is left to collect in the molded-in depression at the aft end of the cockpit. This depression is, I think, intended to serve as the resting place for the fuel tank. Second, water collects both (a) where the poptop meets the cabin top (also where the aft led halyards run underneath the deck), and (b) beneath the wood grabrails which sit on the poptop. I can't locate any drain holes which the engineering department might have put in here to design around the problem. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has tackled these drainage issues. I live in the Northwest and would prefer that the rain runoff the boat and not collect in these places. Or is this just part of the joy of owning a Hunter?
