H240/260 Trailer bunks

This is related to the previous post about the side bunk height. I've read somewhere that 80 percent of the weight should be on the side bunks. It looks like my boat is 95/05 percent. Is this a problem? See this link for pics. http://pws.chartermi.net/~gkobernus/H260_Web/keel.htm

Be careful with the tongue weight

Geroge, In moving the ladder back that far (6") you might decrease your tongue weight too much. What of you just put a block under the front of the bunk board at the cross member to raise it. Just a thought. Jonathan Costello s/v Heeling Powers

All the weight should be on the side bunks

The swing centerboard should only have support for itself, allowing tension on the line to be released. It should not support the hull. That's what the side bunks are for. Nils Anderson
