I'm looking to buy a H23 without a trailer. In making one I'm curious if the keel will support the weight on the trailer because all pics that I see of a factory trailer, they have bunks as a swing keel boat would have. Any thoughts? Deano

I assume you have a wing keel. My H23 sits on its original trailer on my drive. Rest assured that most of the weight is on the keel (I've seen 70% frequently quoted) and the trailer supports that weight. The keel is actually resting on a steel box section covered by a plywood board. The bunks keep it from falling over. You would need a trailer with similar construction.

Just to clarify, the centerline section is welded between two crossmembers. I don't think most powerboat trailers have this. So you need to get a trailer made for sailboats and with bunks that are high enough to allow for keel height
