My mast
I have the real bendy Z-spar mast with the tapered top. It has two sheaves aloft, one just above the forestay and the other just below it. The jib halyard is rigged through the lower one. There is nothing rigged through the upper one at the moment.I suspect the spinnaker halyard is supposed to exit the mast through the upper sheave, because the spinnaker is set above and in front of the forestay. The only problem I have is that there is only one exit slot on the mast near the gooseneck, and it's for the jib halyard. The main halyard exits at the base of the mast (you have to pull UP on the halyard to raise the mainsail). So, you will probably have to cut another exit slot in the mast for the spinnaker halyard, and mount another cleat. Of course, your mast may be different from mine, but the location of the halyard exit up the mast should be the same.Good luck.PeterH23 "Raven"
