h23 sail prices

I have been shopping for a new main sail for my h23 and have come up with these quotes. The main in this pricing has 1 deep reef, loose footed, h23 and a sail number printed on it with partial battens. Feel free to add to this list with your own quotes. I have decided to go with the Gus Sails quote. He is local and made me a great 135 roller Genoa for my boat 2 year ago.

I bought a new 4 batten (2 full, 2 partial), double reefed main and 135 genoa for my boat this spring from Neil Pryde, cost was roughly 1000 per sail, and my sails are a bit larger than yours...

When asking for quotes you should always specify the same sail cloth, hardware etc. Many of these low cost sailmakers can sell you a 6oz. cloth that is much lower quality and you will have saved $150 today and need a new sail in 4 or 5 years.

Stitching and the thread are also issues that should be discussed unless you know that you are purchasing from a vendor that does not want to be repairing your sail in a year from now.

I AM NOT SURE WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED BUT TRY BACON SAILS ns Marine supplies. They are located outside of Annapolis, MD. They have both new and used sails.

You can also try JSI out of St Petersburg. I know that at one time they were the OEM sailmaker for Hunter.
