Ward and Mike beat me to it but here's my "official" report on the First Hunter 23 Nationals: The Hunter 23 Nationals, held over the weekend of August 25/26 at Indian Lake Yacht Club in Russell's Point, Ohio, was a raging success! There were 11 boats coming from as far away as Iowa to participate. The expertise level was also quite wide ranging but everyone had a great time and there were no crashes, bashes or protests. The "placing" finishers were: First - Gordy Victorson and Cliff Ruckstuhl Second - Ken Alexander Third - Ron Roman Fourth - Tim Smith Fifth - Ward Niffenegger I apologize for not having the names of all the crew. This was a first attempt at an H23 regatta and the event was actually more social than competitive. Some boats had guests aboard and crew ranged from 1 person to 4. Every participant received flags, hats, shirts, boat numbers, and tote bags. It was truly an enjoyable event and next year's regatta is already being planned!

Jealous

I owned a 23 years ago, we used to put oversized sails on it and watch it scream downwind. Was the regatta spinaker non-spinaker or both?
