H23 hatch lift?

I did this years ago with my 23. I bought some 1/2 alumium angle from Ace Hardware. Took about 20 minutes to install. I just drilled and screwd one end when it is down the angle will mesh up right next to the hatch.Cliff H 28.5 "Red Dog"

He is a genius, cause he owns an h23, , lots of h23 owners have made this mod, the one I saw, might have been Mike Epps , used little pieces of those folding tent supports, the ones with the shock cords running thru, most people have some of those laying around, works great, take care Mike Bacome

Mike and Cliff are both on target. But no genius here. I simply cut those fiberglass tent poles in half lengthwise and screwed them to the hatch cover. I kind of like Cliff's idea though. Aluminum angle would be stronger than my rods.
