H23 Bow Nav Lights Mounting Location

I am trying to find the best location that is wthin the regulations. These are temporarily mounted about 40" back from the bow and just underneath where the rub rails will go. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

You don't like the original configuration? Otherwise, I'd bet its ok how you have them.

The original plate was gone when I got the boat. I sort of rigged a combo bowlight over the past few years which was ok. I really wanted to get them off the bow rail so I don;t have to worry about the mast and docking. I found these fairly chep for LED's.

While that is a favorite location on larger hulls, I fear that the lights may be obscured by ocean swells too often on a 23' boat.
