I'm planning to install a transom mount boarding ladder on my '89 H23 and was wondering if anyone had any opinions as to a good make & model that would fit and work out nicely on that model boat. I'm not sure about how many steps I need, folding vs. telescoping, etc. I don't see too many in the catalogs or online..... surely I'm not looking in the right place!

Thanks
Doug

Long long ago, there was a company called Tops In Quality who now has been purchased by another company and I think that name is Whitehaul Marine, or White something. I think if you still googled TIQ (spelled out) it will bring up the new company. They had a lot of choices in folding ladders for boats.

Don't know our make and model of boarding ladder, but since you asked about steps, we have a definite opinion. Ours has 3 steps and a 4th would come in very handy. Not something we would go out and replace just because it only has 3 but since you can buy whatever you want, I highly suggest 4. Telescoping is very handy.
Hope this helps!

My H23 came with a boarding platform and hinged ladder; the ladder part hinges up on top of the teak platform and down into the water. I don't know the brand, but I find having the platform is very useful, really I'd say essential, to get on board from a rowboat or inflatable.
