I recently purchased a 1981 22ft Hunter. Fine boat, but it came with a very large genoa. 150%? 14'5"ft.base. Bow to mast is 8ft. Does this limit me to specific wind conditions? I would prefer a 100% jib, where can I purchase a used jib? Any thoughts?

Genoa vs jib

I have a 100 hanked-on jib and would like a 135 or 150 that I can modify for roller furling. I found my jib at a local sailing swap store. It looks like it had never been used before I bought it. It was made by North Sails but I'm not sure what boat it was originally for. I just went through all of their used sails looking for one that had measurements that were close to my requirements. I haven't found a genoa yet that will fit properly. I would recommend checking with any sailing swap shops. You never know what they may have hidden in the back.
