Have any of you H22 owners successfully replaced the front hatch on your boat? What hatch did you use for the replacement. The original seems to be made by "Gray Industries". Could not find anything on the internet about them.
My hatch was fine. just the glass was missing. I got a piece of lexan from Home Depot and rounded the edges with a grinder and then fitted it into place with some 3-m sealant. Seems to wok pretty good. If your hatch is missing or really screwed up, then I don't know what to tell ya!
I have been refurbishing a sunken 22 foot hunter and I have the same problem on the hatch. I looking to simply buying a new hatch from somewhere like west marine but they are expensive. The only problem with my hatch is that the plexiglass has pushed out and broken because it is brittle with age. I went to home depot and you can buy replacement quarter inch thick plexiglass for the hatch but it is not tinted. It will run about 40 to 50 dollars for a sheet that is big enough.
