Hey everyone - I meant to do measure this over the weekend but completely forgot. What size are the H216 Shrouds? What is the appropriate tension? My model is a 2004 and I do have a spinnaker.

For the past 2 years I have been eyeballing tension based on mast bend. I'd like to simplify the process and take the guess work out and finally get a tensioning gauge. I recall postings regarding the subject but I am unable to locate them on the forum.

Any other comments regarding this subject are welcome...

2 Options: H216 Shrouds and Tensioning Meters

I found an answer from Kyle at Hunter...Any other opinions are welcome...

Option 1:
The rigging is 5/32 wire 1x19, Hand tighten uppers, then using tool
tighten the uppers by 2or 3 full circle turns, Make sure both sides are
at same level on threads. After you have done this you should have the
prebend then hand tighten the lowers on both sides.

Option 2:
Using Loos Tension Gauge/ Model "A"/ Part #91
V1 (upper shrouds)- 34 on top scale- converts to 240 lbs/109 kg on the
conversion scale for 5/32"
D1 (lower shrouds) - 15 on top scale- does not go high enough to convert
on conversion scale.
