216 head sail
I haven't heard of this although that doesn't mean it cant be done. I am in the process of buying new sails for my 216 and no mention of a larger head sail was made by me or the sailmaker and he knows I race mine. If you had a larger head sail you would have to install a different way to run the sheets. Also a larger jib might interfere with the shrouds. The power for this boat is obtained from the main. If you have stock sails some new custom sails from a name sailmaker might make a big difference. This boat goes to weather very well and if you want more power off the wind you might consider a spinnaker it adds quite a bit more sail area. Ray T
