Tilting mast -oboy!
John,If you work this one out let me know. I could use it also. When I was a boy we had a Kestrel 23? or 5. It had a massive iron tabernacle to support the deck-stepped mast. The spruce mast would stand without stays in open seas and could be lowered to pass under bridges. With my 23 there is no tabernacle per say, just an aluminum pad on the deck with a tongue which fits into a slot in the mast foot casting. To lower a mast setup like this underway you’re going to have to control it with brute force alone. Your setup may be better suited. Like I said, let me know what you come up with.Good luck,Greg.
