Greetings. I bought my H19 used, and the trailer balance has always been out of whack. I've tried moving the bow stop back in order to move some weight towards the rear of the trailer, but it's still awfully tongue-heavy*, but I'm also worried about stressing the boat by not properly supporting the stern. Right now the trailer's bunkers extend 13" past the rear vertical support (I haven't moved them), while the tip of the stern extends some 42" past the rear support (meaning the stern is unsupported for 29").Whether or not I can shift the weight a little more rearward (there's still a little distance I can move the bow stop back), I plan to replace the bunkers (which are about 10'3" long 2x6s) with longer ones, so that there's at least some support for the stern all the way along. I figure lengthening the bunkers can't hurt, even if I can't provide any additional rear bracing. Can any H19 owner tell me what his/her measurements are as described above? I certainly don't want to damage anything -- and I'd prefer to not resort to moving the trailer axle forward -- but I don't want this to problem to continue. Thanks for any help,--Jim*By tongue-heavy, I estimate the tongue weight is around 300lb. With the boat on the trailer, I can get 400lb of people at the rear of the boat before the trailer tongue goes light and wants to lift....
