In a race as close as the presidential election, H and S Yachts of San Diego, CA, edged Norton's Yacht Sales of Deltaville, VA for Hunter's top customer service award for 2000. The award, given by Hunter Marine to the dealer receiving the highest scores in its customer satisfaction survey, was presented this week in a ceremony at St. Petersburg, Florida. The victory by H and S broke a string of five consecutive wins by Norton's. It's the first win for H and S, who also won the award for top-selling dealer, a feat unprecedented in recent Hunter history. Other top-scoring dealers: 3. Ship and Sail, Houston, TX 4. Long Island Yacht Sales, Bay Shore, NY Scores are gathered by Hunter Marine from buyers of new Hunters in the past twelve months. FYI, I purchased my 40.5 from H&S San Diego after several years of follow up sales calls from them and, even though a used boat, had a lot of outfitting done by them. They were as professional on the follow through as the sale. The work was tops. And, they actually downsold me on some items. From my vantage, well worth the recognition. RD
