H 40 cockpit seats maahogany?

Love this time of the year. Mucking about in boats is always a good thing. It's time to sand the wood seats in the cockpit. I assume they are not teak. Are they Mahogany?Also are the bulkheads covered in varnish or poly? They need a little attention too after I finish installing the two new heads.Gene KinneyS/V Kin-Ship1985 H40

I'd bet they are teak, NOT mahogany....

What makes you think they are Mahogany? The only exterior wood I have ever seen on Hunters is teak. A friend of mine had a 1985 h40, and I would swear the seats were teak.

They're teak.

I've got some pic's on our website (see link) when we refinished ours. It was a pretty involved project to do it right.
