As part of my on going running rigging replacements.. I would like to know what size jib sheet do you use? The one that is worn out on the boat appears to have been either a 1/2 or 5/8. Is 3/8 to small for a 110? Thanks.. Jon

PGIJon, I went with 7/16" StaSet since I think the self tailers won't work that well with 3/8.. That has worked fine for me on the 110.

I just replaced my jibsheet with 100' of 1/2" yacht braid. 7/16" would be OK, but 3/8" would be hard on the hands.

Hi Jon, attached is a sheet with all standing rigging and running rigging suggested dimensions. I agree with Splax and Kloudie that 3/8 is too small for the jaws of the winches...and the hands. I'm currently running 5/8 and it might be a bit big as it squeezes real tight into my new jaws and thus is a bit hard to undo. 1/2" or 7/16" should work great on yours if the jaws are not worn. Good luck

You're welcome but I really don't deserve all the kudos. all I did was put together info gleaned here and there. Thanks anyway.

Thanks once again for all your great input.... I'll join in on the Kudos to Claude! I'm returning the 3/8 to WM.

DO NOT use Sta-set X.

The HOW site sell all grades of line that will work fine for your boat at a reasonable price.
