For those poor souls living in the warmer climes, this is what a Hunter 33 looks like under 7" of snow. Temperatures this past weekend ran about 20 degrees but it was toasty inside woth my new Dickinson diesel fired heater. Thank goodness for that 37 foot Irwin on my starboard side blocking the prevailing wind coming down the river!

too cold

Wow that looks cold. I think its going to hit 80 F this weekend in the Tampa area. Just curious do you run your engine during the winter to keep it lubed up. If so you must have to preheat. Even some cold florida days I have to get out the old hair dryer. Stay warm Kevin

snow freezing - warning

Warning - We had our H34 on dry land during the first snow this year before we got the cover on. When we went down to visit, the batteries were dead. Opened the bilge and water was near the top. Water had settled in the cockpit drain, froze, and then as the snow melted, it started leaking into the aft cockpit. Probably do to the boat not level. Bilge pump ran as much as it could, then the batteries went low. Charged it up then it ran forever as all the water emptied back into the bilge from the lines that normally feed "TO" the bilge. Scary

Panhandle H33 in winter

Sam, don't mean to be mean but here is a picture of the H33 and friends in winter in Choctawhatchee Bay. To be perfectly honest, I guess I should admit that this week is about the first decent weather for a long time. In early January, the Ward Cove had ice on it pretty much all over for the first time in a long time
