Just posted on the photo forum some pictures of main cabin storage taking advantage of some dead space that was left unused in the original construction. I think these spaces will help in storing parts, small pieces, etc.

Thanks for the tip

Good idea, have you considered installing access doors in the setee storage areas? getting into the ones on the port side are always a pain. Don s/v MerEllis 82' h33

Cabin setee locker doors, Don Connolly

Don, I agree that the port setee lockers are pretty inaccessible, price we pay for that functional leeboard and the viable sea berth. As far as cutting access doors, seems like that is particularly attractive for the aft port locker since it already has communication with the bilge through the wiring access hole into the bilge. I believe that I will keep the rest of the lockers loading from the top just in the interest of water tightness. Do you have any pictures of access doors cut into the sides of the cabin lockers? On another storage note, has any H33 owner developed the huge cavernous volume under the cockpit, particularly aft of the quarterberth into useful storage? I've been trying to figure out how to get a couple of folding bicycles back in that area secured away from the steering quadrant. There seems to be sufficient volume but it is a strage strange shape. Also, there is considerable storage volume between the lazerette locker floor and the hull. Anybody figured out how to practically utilize this volume?
