The newly installed a transom shower on my 29.5 won't spray (unless held down at near water level)! I ran the lines from the shower on the starboard side. Is the factory pump too weak ( I can't read the specs on it)? any suggestions?

blockage?

I would disassemble and look for blockage - especially small plastic pieces created during assembly.

check the obvious?

I have a '96 29.5 bought used with the transom shower already installed. It works fine. I hate to state the obvious, but did you check to make sure the water pressure switch was on and that there is water in the tank?

Another obvious

On the factory installed, the shower head turns on and off-but not as off off as one might like. So check to make sure it's on. Also, remove the shower head to completely from the hose and check the pressure. You may have blockage in the shower head. Oh yeah, and are all the other faucets closed?

Yes, your pump is too weak.

"Head" is one of a pumps' specifications and is defined as the number of feet the pump can lift the water. If the water has to be lifted from below deck (fresh water holding tank or thru hull for sea water) to a hight over your head as you stand on the transom then you are probably trying to lift the water about 10 ft. That would take a much more powerful pump than what you use below deck for freshwater at the sink.
