Howdie all, I'm Timothy in Madisonville KY. I sail on KY Lake and keep my boat at Lighthouse Landing. I bought my 23.5 a year ago this month. The front window has a condition known as crazing. This last weekend I sliped on the wet deck and CRACKED it good. Anyway I'm looking for information on how to get a new window. what I have should hold up for a while longer, hopefully the rest of the season, but it's gunna have to go. I have worked with Macrolon and Lexan before but not in this type of application. T..

Last year my 23.5 developed a leak in a side window. I contacted Hunter marine tech support, They told me how to remove the window, what saelant I needed to repair it. I did all of the work and in the process I broke the window, again back to Hunter, they were able to supply the side window and I did it all a second time. Hope this was helpful, Mike

Call Hunter
Call Hunter at 1-800-771-5556 and follow the prompts for retail parts sales to order the new window. THEN ask to transfer to Al Fuchs in Technical support. He is who I spoke with when I needed to reseal the side port like Mike P. He knows exactly what to do and can give you instructions. Let me know how much it costs for the front window. I also have a 23.5 and mine could use changing as well. Good luck.

Mike, I bought my 1994 23.5 from John Franklin up on Smith Mountain Lake. My boat is also a legacy of Crazy Dave from his days at Smith Mountain Lake. The original owner bought it from Crazy Dave back in 1994. Beautiful place up there.

I went to my local glas shop....
My side window was busted (big anchor from another boat).... So I went to my local glass shops and found one they completed the job for $125. He does a lot of bass boat windshelds and had the lexan on hand. Give you local guys a chance they may suprise you. Todd

Jonathan, I sail in Lake Des Allemands.... and
I usually leave my boat at Lake Des Allemands, (this will be my first summer with it) but we are considering doing a few weekend trips to Grand Isle and Cypremore point. I also have a Hobie 18 that I have been wanting to bring to Cypremore just to sail in the area. how big is the Yacht club? do ya'll have any get togethers? Todd

He has been in parts ever since I went to Hunter and he is too good as to information and if he cannot get it, go to a local glass shop as they carry Lexan. Phone for mike is 800-771-5556 ext 3615. One thing fellows, never use and acetone on lexan or you will be replacing as it melts the plastic or acryllic.
