H 23 23.5 240

I have a 1989 h 23 great boat, not happy with trailering ,love all other aspects of boat, Have been reading , posts regarding 23,5 and 240 , how much difference is there between 23.5 and 240 ?? Are there signigicant diffferences, in 23.5 and 240 . ? regards MIke

Cosmetic mostly. H240 has slightly less sail, a better swim ladder and the rear berth is turned sideways. Turning it sideways doesn't make it bigger or improve the headroom but it makes the storage harder to use. I like the storage at the side behind the galley. There sure are a lot of H23.5s and a few H240s for sale used....... with extra goodies. The later trailers have 2 axles and surge brakes. Both a darned good idea and make you legal in all states. Hunter didn't change the things that I thought they should..... like winch locations, jam cleats, rudder outhaul, and maybe a traveler for the main. The mast step system seems to be the same..... if it works, don't try to fix it.KenS/V Wouff Hong
