GulfStar 37 For Sail

I've just become aware that this boat is being sold. It is 30 years old and it's here in Greenport. The owners are elderly and have reluctantly decided to sell. I think they have been the only owners and it will be an attractive price. That's about all I know. Oh, and a friend of mine used to sell them and thinks very highly of them.
One more cold snap and I may jump on it and head south to give up my northerly ways.

We like ours.
It would have to be 35 years plus in age. Last ones were made in 1979.

No, it's at "The Shipyard" which goes by a number of names by locals. But there's nothing to say it wasn't at BC a few years ago. I'll probably go over and kick the keel tomorrow. I don't want to mislead the owners that I am a potential buyer but… color me curious.

Oh, and it's not brokered at this point. Although I told them they should. But they are "Word of mouth" people. No idea about the internet.

Sorry to restart an old thread but , shemandr, did you ever "kick the keel" on the Gulfstar?
I'm certain I looked at the same boat last week...

No, but I saw the guy this week and at least I think I know where in the yard it is. I'll get over there next week and see what I can learn. Maybe take some pics. It's covered.
It's sad the owner couldn't tell me the boat's name.

Well... I just bought it. I stumbled upon your post after the fact and was curious to know if you happened to look at it and what you thought. I will be up this Saturday to crawl around and take inventory, etc...

She will be there until May. I'll be around getting her ready. I'll give you a heads up next time I'm up if you want to have a look. I get the impression looking around that the owners took pretty good care of her.
