320 For my first Boat Too
I'm also buying a 320 as my first boat. I started with the 380 and then the dealer got in a 340, just as nice and 44k cheaper. Then he got in a 320, just as nice still and another 23k less. Now I can keep my fun including the loan payment, moorage and insurance within my 1000 a month budget. I feel that for day sailing and cruising for two in the Pacific Northwest, the 320 is a perfect first boat. I'm buying new because I don't like "used cars". My boat will have the in-mast furling, autopilot, deep keel, wind machine, LPG range, cockpit cushions, and they're going to install the arch mounted speaker module for me plus i plan to install a larger toilet. I'll do the dodger and bimini later, out of pocket and i'll add the heat later too, hunter wants 4400 for it, too much.I will be hiring a "skipper" for a few days to break me in on the boat. Also, I plan to moor it in fresh water, at my office on Seattle's Lake Union, so if I'm not in my office, you'll know where to find me
