Hi
I have purchased a 24ft trailer sailor as a project and I would like to know who was the original manufacturer if anyone can help? I believe that the year of manufacture is around 1975 but there are no identification plates on the boat. I have had a look around at various bow and stern angles and window shapes / positioning (I know these can change if you really wanted to) but I can not seem to find a similar model. Any help would be much appreciated.

PS So far I have only serviced the trailer, emptied the boat, gave her a good inspection and stripped the electrics and the roof lining but I will get there

I can't help you but she's a fine looking boat! All the lines are led aft for single sailing. You'll have lots of fun with her.

What the heck is up with that humungous tiller, bracket and rudder (?) holding thing on the stern. How does that work?

Does the plate by the radio antenna bracket have your model and serial number on it?

Thanks guys. I think she used to be a bit of a racer in her time. At one stage she had a 8 to 10 inch tube that ran from the bow, through the foredeck, down in to the boat and all the way back to the cockpit. I think it was used to deploy a spinnaker very quickly.
Joe - thats where the rudder goes to steer the boat ;)
ffaubert - erm no. Thats the first place I looked. It says 'manufacturer unknown' :(

I'm at a loss. If it was registered maybe you could backtrack it through DNR or DMV or whatever your state agency is?
