My gudgeons on my DS1 are attached to the transom through a block of wood. Is this standard issue on the Spindrift version? TIA, John

John, I believe this was the original way that Spindrift backed up the gudgeons, they should have sealed that wood in fiberglass....but I've heard that they didn't. I'll ask my friend who has a Spindrift DS I to be sure. Oh, and I think O'DAY did the same thing on the original DS I.

I had a 1968 DS1 and I believe that the gudgeons were backed up by wood but on mine they were glassed in and over.
