DQOTD related to bonding. I recently moved my boat to a reputed "hot" marina... I replaced my shaft zincs recently but am also concerned about my new max prop. I think I'm going to pick up a "Grouper zinc" which is a zinc anode connected to a cable with a clip on the other end. I see several boats in the marina with these already in place. My question is what should I connect the clip to that's easy to reach? Also, can do I need to worry about over-protecting with zinc?

Zinc

I ran a wire through to my shaft using an aligator clip I grounded to the shaft where the shaft attaches to the engine. I remember to remove by an attached tag to my keys, one so big I DON'T forget. then the other end is in a rear locker attached to a strip of copper I clip the guppy to the copper strip. Also if you have a digital Fluke meter you can ground in the water and on to the copper strip and check if you have positive flow or negitive, down to a milli-amp.
