Last weekend, I bounced the keel off something hard while docking at Niagara-on-the-Lake. This after the Dock Master confidently stated: "Yes, there is at least 6 ft where you are docking". I was barely moving when I hit and there is no indication of any structure issues with the boat (B352) and/or the keel. But my question is: does Beneteau coat the keel with gelcoat or is there just a coat of paint on it? I know that keel is lead and it appears to be painted, so I am hoping a scrape will be easier to fix (if necessary) when I haul the boat out later this season. Any thoughts. Thanks, Murray
