Ground Wire?

Good day to all. We have just taken delivery of our NEW 2001 290. She is just wonderful. As expected some issues have popped up. The dealer is working on most of them (we hope). In the stb. aft laz there is a wire coiled and hooked to noithing? The sleave is green and we have no idea what it is for. The wire is of Batterie type? Can any help?

Eric,I woudl have to look at my boat to see, but green is an AC ground color, and on our 290 the AC connector plug is just aft of the stb aft laz. Make sure they let you know what that is. Also, there is a wiring diagram in the manual that comes with the boat. Check it out.

Green Wire

We too are in the process of taking delivery of a new Hunter. The factory has hanged the color of the ground wire on the DC side to Green. This was done, I was told to eliminate confusion with the Black ground wire on the AC side. The Coiled Green wire in the stern, on our boat was a ground wire to the Arch. Same on your Boat? Good luck.
