Hunter 23.5 Red deer, Alberta
Man the last couple of days I'm so grateful that this site is available, My poor boat (hunter 23.5) is stuck under 12" of snow, she used to live in AZ, then moved to the Sea of Cortez Mexico, from Mexico to the Okanagan British Columbia, and now in Central Alberta I feel sorry that I did this to her.(former owner had her in the nice warm places)
But with the cold outside and a new year I really get the itch to tinker with her, add new gear and spruce her up a bit for the up coming season, even just sit in her and dream.

I'm so happy that this site is available with lots of information, ideas and learning new things, lets hope the rest of the winter fly's by and we can all enjoy our beloved boats.

Get your self a Sony POV camera. Attach it to the backstay and just let it roll. That way next year when your boat is all covered in snow, you can relive you summer experiences and keep from going crazy. I go back and watch my videos all the time. They are nothing special, but just help to relieve the cravings.

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
He may have trouble attaching it to a backstay, those Hunters don't have a backstay.

There are other camera points to attach it to.

FYI...Look SJ4000 Cam. They are cheap and I shot my video with one. Less than $100 with accessories. The quality is pretty good.

There's two more in the back 40 in Millet looking just about the same way. We did the Jacques Cartier out there before it got cold last week, and probably shouldn't have. Depressing it is.

And what's really interesting, is that with one additional stop in Dillon Co, for a couple of years, our two boats have been close to each other, Az, and south Texas.

Just bought two SJ4000's from www.gearbest.com. Got the 1080p versions for about $60 each because the 4K ones are out and more expensive. Hey, I have a 720p TV, who needs 4K? :D Also ordered another set of batteries and 2 suction cup mounts. My intention is to put them on the Force 5, to show how bad I am keeping the wet side down! :D Have seen video with SJ4000 next to GoPro, and the SJ has better looking video.

Brian,
Maybe not that it matters, but 4k video can be zoomed in about 50% with no loss in clarity. It does present some interesting possibilities when using a decent video editor, but that comes with a huge file size.
