I've been using a great product called "Get Hitched" to assist with hooking up my trailers. It is two telescoping antennas, each with a magnetic base and a foam ball at the tip. Put one on the hitch and the other on the coupler, then use line of sight as you back up to bring the balls together. It's easy and you don't need a second person to guide you.
