Here's a neat way too keep the bugs out, I read about this in a magazine, not sure now which one though, but it works great.

I bought a baby carriage screen, it is a fine netting that goes over the top of a baby carriage and keeps the bugs and sun off little junior.
I read that you sew a length of chain around the bottom edge of the screen.
I haven't sew the chain in yet so I laid the chain all around the bottom and it worked great.
Hemming up the bottom with the chain in it would work best.
Easy to stow too!

Cool idea, and probably less expensive than a "marine" bug screen. How difficult is it to see through?

Good Morning Technodad. That is a great idea. You have one of the nicest, well kept 23 O'Day's I have ever seen. The effort you put into it shows. I noticed from your album, that you have installed on the upper schrouds, the triangular plates used for mounting your mainsheet to the backstay. I am curious as to their purpose, and how did you accomplish this. Thanks again for the great post.
